The fitness class that I attended on Sunday did a “12 Days of Christmas Workout” and I absolutely loved it.
I’m still sore from it.
And it’s Thursday!
There are several “12 Days of Christmas” workouts on the internet, but I wanted to share this one – I modified it slightly from the class, just for simplistic/explanatory reasons, and I hope you feel the burn (in the best way possible) like I did!
things to know about this workout:
- for the weighted moves…add whatever amount is best for you! I held two 10s, but it would’ve been tough with no added weight at all.
- for the push-ups…I highly recommend dropping to the floor, raising your hands up just so they’re off the floor, then pushing up. That sequence = 1 push-up. This just ensures that you really press through – just make sure to keep your abs pulled in and your body straight!
- for the shoulder push-ups…these are no joke. HERE‘s a tutorial if you’re unsure of the form, just know that you don’t have to have those handles or turn you hands, as in the video. This move is deceivingly tough!
