thankful thursday

This week I’m joining Jessie in her linkup of Thankful Thursday posts…It’s a great idea, especially since Thursdays are my absolute most dreaded days of the week :/

Today I’m thankful for…

  • our godson Preston…he turns 1 year old today!  My husband and I love him more than I can explain.  How does that little face not make melt though…
Happy Birthday to the cutest little lion!
  • my workouts…As part of the last week in the October Yoga Challenge, I only completed 2 sessions of yoga and didn’t quite meet my goal of 3.  It’s a little disappointing I suppose, but I still had a lot of other great workouts, and because of this past month, I’ve realized how much I love what yoga does for my body.
  • a job to go to each day…it’s so much work and I’m not at all excited for it today, but I know that I’m very very blessed to have a steady job–there are many people who don’t have such a thing.  I have to make my attitude about it positive because my whole day will reflect that!
  • friends…a couple of our friends brought pizza over last night, and after eating, we just hung around talking and watching Hocus Pocus (<–somehow Jesse has never seen this movie before?!) and the new episode of Modern Family.  It was relaxing and just a lot of fun :)
  • those who are volunteering in the East…just hearing about Sandy and all of its damage is terrifying.  I’m constantly praying for everyone affected and I admire all of the people who are heading that direction to help with recovery efforts.  It honestly makes me appreciate my warm home that much more…
  • my husband…and the fact that we get to have a date night tomorrow night.  He doesn’t know about it yet, but I’m going to make sure it happens :)
What are you thankful for today?

  1. Ha, I too have never seen Hocus Pocus! I’m just gonna say it has to deal with the fact that both of our names are Jesse :)

Awe, surprise dates are the best. I’ve been thinking about surprising mine with one either tonight or tomorrow as well.

Have a great day hunnie & thank you so much for linking up :)

    • Hocus Pocus is really a pretty bad movie haha it was just the classic Halloween movie when we were kids so it was surprising that he hadn’t ever seen it! :)

  2. I am very thankful for my wonderful family, really wonderful family!!

  3. Hocus Pocus is too funny! I am so thankful to have a great family around me. Great friends and just the ability to laugh!
I heard the best thing the other day….”if it has no baring on tomorrow, then let it go.”

  4. You have so many things to be thankful for, so sweet!

P.S. I loveee MF, always is a good laugh :P

  5. Hey, you may not have met your yoga goals, but you still figured out the benefits of yoga and how it makes you feel, which is great! :)
Thanks so much for joining in!!

  6. Have fun on your date night tomorrow!
