I can’t believe the last weekend of the summer is (nearly) here already. Where does the time go?!
At least the weather still feels like summer (in my neck of the woods anyway). The heat still has me craving cool foods, especially salads and smoothies.
Beginning this Sunday, September 1st, I’m participating in Heather‘s September Smoothie Challenge.

It’s pretty self-explanatory – for the first half of the month, you eat/drink one smoothie each day!
It’s an easy and delicious way to incorporate more fruits and veggies into your diet.

I’m honestly planning to do this for the entire month, just because I think it’ll be fun and make me feel great.
Remember that you don’t need a fancy shmancy high-tech blender to make a smoothie – you can get by just fine with a cheap Wal-Mart blender! (aka the beast that’s in our kitchen – it does the job!)
