Who else is starting to feel the winter blues?
To complain for a moment: I’m tired of the freezing-cold temps (without any snow even), the spine-chilling wind, the continuous dreary days…It makes heading over to the gym challenging, especially when the alarm goes off at 5:35a.m.
To combat this feeling, I’ve decided to invest in something new to wear to the gym. New shoes, new shorts, a new shirt, etc.
I’m not one of those people that has a bunch of stylish workout clothes either. I have about 4 pairs of shorts, one pair of capris, and one pair of pants that I like to workout in, plus a few tops (our gym has a modesty policy-no tanks. boo.), and let’s just not talk about how old most of them are ;) I decided it was time to get something NEW (and of good quality) to make working out maybe just a little more encouraging during these last couple months of winter.
I chose to check out pv.body.
It’s a unique site where you create an account and profile for yourself, answering questions about your workout style (what kind of workouts you like best, what size you wear, if you like t-shirts, tanks, long-sleeves, capris, or shorts, etc. the best). Then each month, pv.body chooses a top and a bottom that matches your profile and sends it to you for only $49.95. (!!)
Shipping is free, and exchanges are easy if you’re unhappy with your purchase. A new order will be created each month, but you can pause your account or skip over a month or two at any time you wish.
My first order arrived earlier this week!
It may look overly simple, but I absolutely, truly love each piece!
The bottoms are comfortable, an awesome length (some capris fit me too high or too low and just end up feeling awkward), and they’re breathable yet still thick and not “see-through” when I squat. Let’s be honest with ourselves, don’t we all do the squat test before wearing/buying workout pants? Or maybe that’s just me?? :/
Anyway, I love the top too! It’s made of a moisture-wicking, breathable material (mostly nylon), it’s long enough for my torso (common top problem), and stays put when I raise my arms. I also have very broad shoulders and it fits over them well.
I don’t know quite how they matched me up with things I love, but needless to say, I’m very pleased with my first order.
If you’re interested in placing an order with pv.body, you can use my affiliate link to receive 20% your first month’s order or enter the coupon code “sway” at checkout.

Is anyone else starting to struggle with these cold days? I’m so ready for the weather to warm up enough to go out for a nice walk after work!
How are you motivating yourself to keep on a great workout path lately?

that’s really cool they pick them out for you! i’d be so nervous each time i got a package lol my workout gear def needs an update!
…and i do the squat test too ;)
I make sure my leggings/capris/pants aren’t see-through before I buy them too :).
and the scary thing is sometimes they really don’t pass the test!
I love capris. What a cool website…I’ve heard of one like that for regular clothes, but not workout clothes.
Usually in the cold, if there’s snow I’m fine, but I hate just rain. When it rains for weeks and is gloomy it’s hard not to get in a funk.
That’s been the weird thing about our winter this year–it’s been freezing but we have practically NO snow on the ground! If it’s going to be cold I figure we might as well have snow to look at/play in at least :)
Yes, so so cute and the pants are the PERFECT length! :)
