let’s set a good example

Welcome to another week, friends!

I hope your weekend included plenty of fun and relaxing :)

The holidays are a time to enjoy the many blessings that surround us.  Sometime later this week I plan to talk about balance during the holiday season, so I won’t go too much into it today.  I’ll just jump right to my point.

It’s okay to indulge in a few favorites during the holidays–absolutely!!  Guilt-free.  But we also can’t use that as an excuse to consistently treat our bodies poorly.  Otherwise, it’ll significantly add up, maybe form into a new bad habit, and leave seriously negative marks on our health.

Yesterday my husband pointed out this commercial he saw play on the tv several times during a football game, and I loved it.

It’s incredibly real and powerful.

As a parent, as a cousin, as a grandparent, as a teacher, as an aunt or uncle, as any sort of role model:  our children are always watching, listening, and soaking in all that we say and do.

Let’s set a better example for our kids and for our future today!

  1. Oh wow, this video kind of breaks my heart even though it’s suppose to be a motivating one to set good examples for your children. It’s just sad knowing that these type of situations do happen in today’s society :(.
