First and foremost today, I want to wish a big
to my beyond-wonderful, handsome husband!!
I love you! And I hope our day is great!
I love birthdays…especially birthday desserts (who doesn’t). And when I asked Jesse about what he’d like for his birthday dessert he mentioned froyo… I chose well, ladies ;)
Thanks so much for all of your encouraging comments on yesterday’s race recap post, too. I really do appreciate it.
As much as I want this blog to be positive, I just had to be honest. It wasn’t a great race, but I’m determined to be stronger because of it!
As soon as these migraine symptoms go away, I’ll be much more motivated, too. Yes, I’m still dealing with the after-effects 4 days later. No bueno. Hopefully celebrating a birthday (of my best friend nonetheless) will help :)
And moving on….here’s a look at my food journal from yesterday!
A “PB&J Smoothie” of sorts – very similar to this one:
avocado + banana + frozen raspberries and strawberries + pure vanilla extract + cinnamon + ACV + chia seeds + chunky peanut butter + unsweetened vanilla almond milk
topped with homemade granola
I snacked on a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Larabar
3 squares of leftover homemade pizza + sweet potato fries with ketchup + green peas
quinoa + black beans + mozzarella cheese + grilled corn + seasonings (sea salt, cumin, garlic powder, cilantro) + avocado + salsa
and blue corn tortilla chips on the side
a nectarine + dark chocolate squares
If today was your birthday, what dessert would you choose?!
This is always a tough question…some sort of fruit (apple/rhubarb/berry) crisp sounds really good right now though.
Favorite Larabar flavor?
Apple Pie is mine, but I honestly haven’t had a flavor that I didn’t like.
