What are you looking forward to this weekend?

besides dinner tonight, I’m looking forward to a more laid back weekend at home

  1. I love that article on success – “It’s your life. You get to make the rules. You get to decide what’s going to make you happy.” – amazing. I love the embracing weight gain article too :) Have a lovely weekend girl!

  2. Awww, Zida looks so adorable with her new haircut!

Tomorrow me and my cousin are going to an outdoor craft festival at one of my favorite nearby towns! The weather is supposed to be really nice too, so it’s going to be an awesome day!

  3. That devotional is wonderful! It’s exactly what I need to read right now – regardless of religion, I think it’s a great message to remember that being too preoccupied with planning and busy thoughts, is not a good thing :)

    • very true – I think it can rob us of the present because we’re busy planning out the future, which is something I have to remind myself of often!
Hope you have a great weekend, Cat!

  4. I was just telling Ryan the other day how much I missed The Office! I’m so glad you were as big of a fan as me! :)

  5. Zida’s haircut is so cute!! Happy Friday, Danica! Hope dinner & games is fun tonight and that you have a lovely weekend! I’m getting together with a friend tonight for dinner and a long-overdue catch-up chat, which I’m very much looking forward to.

  6. I swear, Jesus Calling never ceases to amaze me at how perfectly written each day is for what I’m going through. It never fails to be exactly what I need to hear. Low key weekends are my favorite! Unfortunately, the next 4 weekends in a row we’ll be out of town for all/part of the weekend. But…I’ll deal. :-) Have fun tonight with friends!

    • I completely agree about Jesus Calling – it’s so perfectly timed to what’s going on in my life – my grandma calls that sort of thing a “Godincidence” :)
It sounds like your weekend (and those to come) are busy but I hope you’re enjoying it nonetheless!

  7. Zida looks so cute :) Also, I’ve heard great things about Jesus Calling. Does it begin at the start of the year or could I get one now and start whenever? I am in need of a good devotional book. I have one on my phone but always forget about it! I need a physical reminder until I get into more of a routine!

    • It’s a year-long devotional, so there’s a page dedicated to each day, but it would totally be worth getting at this point in the year and starting on April 26th or whatever. I honestly love it so much that I’ll probably just reread it again next year. It’s well worth the purchase!

  8. I am looking forward to getting a nice long nights sleep! I don’t know why but I have sure been dragging this Friday :(

  9. I work tonight and saturday overnight…. so not a whole lot going on for me this weekend. During my free time I will be catching up on homework :(
