It was a good day! I met up with a friend for dinner tonight, too…good food + great company = an awesome night…I’m so thankful Brianna listens to me vent and gives me good advice. That’s what friends are for, right? :)
last night I mixed together: 1/3 cup oats, 1/2 scoop vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, hemp seeds, cinnamon, and unsweetened vanilla almond milk
this morning I added: (more) unsweetened vanilla almond milk and cinnamon, pomegranate arils, a banana, raw sliced almonds, pecans, and a big scoop of peanut butter
This one the best bowl of oats I’ve had in a long time.
a mixed bowl of things in the fridge that turned out to be super good:
wild rice, sweet potato fries, lentils, black beans, EVOO, cumin, and black pepper
with an apple on the side
raspberry coconut milk yogurt and some cocoa goodness Love Grown Foods granola…this combo was good.
I was having the hardest time warming up today too so when I got home I enjoyed a mug of hot lemon water.
*sorry the pictures from the restaurant are terrible, but that was just the lighting in there and I wasn’t about to embarrass my friend (more) by turning on my camera flash ;)
By the time we met up at the restaurant my stomach was seriously growling. So before deciding on what my meal would be, I helped myself to one of the dinner rolls the waiter brought out. I’m not usually a fan of those restaurant free rolls, but this one was really good.
For my meal I had the plate of Butternut Ravioli.
and then there was dessert.
It’s a shame you can’t really see it in the picture, but the name in itself sounds amazing, right? I didn’t care for the whipped topping, which I slid off first thing, but the chocolate….it was a brownie with coconut and pecans yet not overly sweet…amazing.
What’s your favorite dessert?*
*there’s no possible way I can choose just one.
