2. Thank you to everyone that emailed me about writing a guest post for the week I’ll be on vacation! I had a huge response, and I’m so thankful for that. There are going to be SO many fantastic posts to share! (If you’re still interested but haven’t contacted me, please feel free to email me about it yet!)
3. I had Parent Teacher Conferences until 8 last night. They went really well! One more full day of them on Tuesday. Needless to say, it’s been a long week, and I’m so thankful for the weekend to relax a little and maybe even catch up on a few things.
4. My husband was literally pouring this when I walked in the door last night. He’s the best, and obviously not even because he pours me the wine I’ve been craving after a long day. I’ll never know how I got him to marry me.
5. We’re meeting a group of friends for dinner tonight and I cannot wait! I’m seriously considering taking a nap before we meet up with them though because I’m not convinced I’ll make it past 9 or 10 otherwise. #grandma
6. I’m finally caught up on the Biggest Loser. Gosh, I love that show. You can’t watch it and not be inspired.
7. I’m starting this book this weekend:
8. Update on the mattress topper: it’s even better than I’d expected. worth every penny.
9. You should read THIS ARTICLE about Michelle Obama. I can’t tell you how much I love the fact that she doesn’t talk about weight (or says any other negative body image comments) in front of her daughters. She focuses on feeling healthy. It’s inspirational for all moms out there–I believe 100% that the way moms talk about their bodies (self-image/confidence, positive or negative) wears off on their kids (girls especially) and it’s so important to be focused on the positives!

That book looks really good (yup, here I am judging a book by it’s cover!), I’m going to look it up on Amazon! I’m a fan of Biggest Loser too; Bob is my favorite :)
I always get a laugh from Bob’s sarcastic comments :)
Yay for Friday! That’s a great article about Michelle Obama. I love her outlook on parenting and everything she is doing to help American families to try and lead a healthier lifestyle. In my opinion, part of the reason healthcare is such a mess in our country is because of so many people’s unhealthy lifestyle choices. She is really trying to fix things from a fundamental level and I admire that.
I absolutely agree with what you said about our healthcare, Sarah. I definitely think we need to put the importance on prevention!
5. – We’re having my family over for dinner tonight. I don’t know what I was thinking, cooking a nice dinner for people on a work night, but somehow I need to muster up the energy to get into the kitchen :)! It’ll be fun when they’re here, but I always forget how tired I am on Fridays!
7. – I think you’re going to love that book! I read it in one sitting!
9. I love Michelle Obama (or what I know about her)!
I hope your dinner went well!!
I’m excited to dive into the book too–I’ve heard great things about it, and right now I’m happy to read anything that has even a little to do with figuring out what I really want to do with my life, if that makes sense :)
Dinner nights out with friends are the best! I SO look forward to them!
Isn’t the Biggest Losing awesome? It is so inspiring and SO addicting!
I agree! It’s amazing how much they change–and I don’t even mean physically. Mentally they all make a complete turnaround and leave with these positive, motivated, inspiring attitudes!
Please let me know how you like the book!! :)
I will! I’m sure I’ll do a review post once I’m finished :)
Pouring you a glass of wine as you walk in? Sounds like heaven to me! How sweet!
I sent you a follow up email about a guest post if you’re still in need of any. Let me know!
It was after a long night at work, so it was perfect of him! I may have hinted at it though ;)
Yep I got your email :) I’m working on lining up what I need yet and when–I’ll definitely have you guest post though–I’ll reply to you by the end of the weekend at the latest! Thanks!
Just sitting down to write your guest post now! ..Wondering if maybe I should pour myself a glass of wine too ;) hehe
:)
Your number 9 was awesome. I love that she tries to keep body image a positive issue in her household. I hope I am half that good when we have kids.
me too!! That’s a HUGE goal I have for myself and for our family someday.
