1. This post is jam-packed with a ton of random things. I promise they’re all good/fun things though!
2. I didn’t get around to posting about my eats yesterday (was just too busy living and enjoying a night with my husband!), but I just have to share yesterday’s breakfast:
I made a grilled sandwich (stovetop, like traditional grilled cheese), using 2 slices of Ezekiel bread (each outer side spread with a little coconut oil) filled with almond butter, cinnamon, and banana slices. It was amazing, not to mention perfect workout fuel.
3. We made an agreement not to exchange any gifts, yet someone brought these beauties home yesterday. #spoiled
4. I’m obsessed with P!nk’s latest CD, especially this song. Oh, and this song made me cry the first time I heard it:
5. My received quite a few valentines this week from my students, but truthfully, this one was by far my favorite :)
6. We booked a vacation!!! I cannot wait until we’re on that hot, sunny beach. We’re going for a week at the end of March!
*I already know that I’d like to have a few guest posts to share during that time, so if you’re interested, feel free to email me!
7. Last week I mentioned that we’re looking to buy a treadmill…Well, we are, but not as diligently anymore. We decided that since Spring isn’t too far away (thank goodness), we’ll wait until next winter to get one, unless we find a great deal before then. If we do get one though, I promise I’ll let you know!
8. This is the little valentine I gave each of my kids…yep, I’m THAT teacher ;)
9. Since J and I splurged on this vacation next month, we’re making a serious effort to avoid eating out between now and then to save more money. Minus those times when we’ll be out of town and that’s basically our only option, we plan to do even more cooking at home than normal!
10. I was excited literally all day yesterday for last night’s dessert.
Homemade Brownies (<–the best brownie recipe in the world) + Vanilla (dairy-free) Ice Cream + Fresh Strawberries.

Happy Friday! I can’t help but laugh at your point. “I’m too busy living and enjoy a night with my husband”. I feel like as bloggers we sometimes forget that blogging comes second to life, and that computer screens aren’t everything!
I’m definitely guilty of that. I get so attached to my phone and reading blogs that I have to remind myself to just enjoy living in the moment instead!
Yay for your vacation! So exciting :) This post is just full of happy things….I love it.
LOVE the sound of that grilled breakfast sandwich. So tasty! And I love how you cut it into fourths. I guess I get excited about the idea of feeling like you are “eating more” than you are. I like trying to trick myself ;).
I do it ALL the time…I’m sure it sounds crazy but I just like when I get to eat more (as in volume), plus doing that makes me more conscientious about eating slower and enjoying the food in front of me! :)
Aww they are lovely flowers! He did well :)
Such a good feeling when you’ve booked a holiday. Something to look forward when you have a bad day hehe.
yes! It’s definitely helping me get through this last part of winter. I have spring fever sooo badly!!
Aw, glad you got some pretty flowers after all! Seems like guys always know when we say “oh, don’t get me anything” really means “I still want something but I’m pretending not to.” At least that’s what I think when I say I don’t want anything ;)
So exciting that you’re going on vaca soon! Happy Friday :)
haha I really did mean that I didn’t want anything though! I’m all for saving as much money as possible right now ;) BUT I was/am still very grateful he got me them–they’re beautiful and make our kitchen smell fantastic!
